Bangau Soul Takes First Step into U.S. Market with Lease of Two A350-900ULR Aircraft from Soul Airline

Jakarta, Indonesia—Bangau Soul is proud to announce the launch of its first flight to Los Angeles, USA, from Jakarta, Indonesia. This route marks a significant milestone in Bangau Soul's global expansion strategy, marking its first entry into the North American market and introducing the first-ever direct flight between Indonesia and North America. The new service will connect Indonesia to the United States, providing passengers with seamless travel to a key international destination.

The Jakarta-Los Angeles flight will operate under flight number BG-023, while the return flight from Los Angeles to Jakarta will be designated BG-024. Both flights will be codeshared with Soul Airline and PLUSAIR, members of the Soul Group, enhancing connectivity and travel options for passengers.

In order to make this historic route possible, Bangau Soul has strategically leased two A350-900ULR aircraft from its parent company, Soul Airline. These aircraft, designed for ultra-long-range travel, were specifically chosen to accommodate the 16,000-kilometer journey between Jakarta and Los Angeles. The A350-900ULR extends the standard A350-900 range from 15,000 kilometers to an impressive 18,000 kilometers, making it ideal for this route. It is also equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to ensure comfort and convenience for long-haul travel.

Before joining the Bangau Soul fleet, the two A350-900ULR aircraft will undergo repainting and modifications at SoulPort AMF (Aircraft Maintenance Facility) in Cheongju, South Korea, after which they will officially arrive in Jakarta.

This new service is expected to not only provide enhanced connectivity for business and leisure travelers but also stimulate tourism and trade between Indonesia and the United States. The leasing of these advanced aircraft underlines Bangau Soul’s commitment to delivering world-class service on its first route into North America.
