Muan, March 2025 – PLUSAIR is introducing updated regulations for passengers carrying portable power banks, reflecting the latest safety directives issued by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (MOLIT). These measures aim to ensure a safer onboard environment by standardizing the approval and handling process across all PLUSAIR flights.
Key Highlights
Security Screening and Approval
Portable power banks are permitted in carry-on luggage only.
Devices under 100 Wh (up to five units) do not require pre-approval, while any number exceeding five must be cleared at check-in.
Units 100 Wh – 160 Wh may be carried in limited quantities with pre-approval and sticker labeling.
Short Circuit Protection
Passengers must prevent accidental short circuits by using socket covers, covering the socket, or placing devices in plastic bags.
Airport staff will issue a special sticker confirming correct protection before security screening.
Onboard Storage and Usage
All approved power banks must be kept on one’s person or in the seat literature pocket—never in overhead bins.
Charging power banks in flight is prohibited; if a device overheats, passengers should inform the cabin crew immediately.
The new regulations are effective immediately. Passengers are encouraged to review PLUSAIR’s official website for more details or contact the airline for any clarifications.
