Seoul, Republic of Korea — January 8th, 2026 Recently, Roblox announced and deployed its new chat system, which includes restricting users in different age groups from chatting with each other. As the chat feature is an essential part of our operations, the airline has considered a few options as substitutes, and we are introducing 2 solutions to the problem posed by this update for our passengers to choose from. Option 1: Trusted Connection The first option is to use the  Trusted Connection feature . This new feature allows users in a trusted connection to chat, regardless of age group. Before the flight, the flight host, cabin crew, and anyone who needs to communicate with passengers should send a QR code for a friend request. By scanning this QR code, passengers can add staff as a trusted connection, enabling chat. This option is only available for accounts that have completed age estimation. However, this feature requires passengers to add the flight hosts as Trusted Connections, which may not be the most comfortable choice for some users. Therefore, the second option is also available. Option 2: Discord Chats The second option is to use Discord as a substitute for Roblox chat. While this requires passengers to switch programs during flight, it doesn't require users to add the staff as a trusted connection, or any connection, making it a more comfortable choice for some users. The airline will use the text chat channel within our Flight voice channel. While this update presents operational challenges, Soul Airline remains committed to adapting and continuing to deliver the best possible experience for our passengers.
